If you are spending a lot of time on photo masking and clipping (or deep-etching), we will save you time and enable you to focus on the creative work. Or if you are not experienced in masking and clipping, but have a clear idea of what you need in a design: let us do the masking for you.
Tell us what you need and we will give you a very competitive quote for outsourcing masking and clipping to us.
Masking is a process where objects or areas in an image are isolated in order to manipulate them (actually it is the other way around: a mask defines the area that is protected for manipulating). Masks can be clear “cuts” of an object, but masks can also be “feathered”, to allow for smooth overlays in the edges with other areas. Mask can also be made with a partial or gradually changing “opacity”. This way selected objects or areas can blend into another background or can be manipulated with gradual changes in colors or tones.
Whether masking is labor intensive or not, depends a lot on the objects to be masked. The masking of hair, for instance, can be particularly time consuming. It makes a big difference whether the hair is all in focus or (partly) out of focus. For hair that is out of focus, the difference in color and contrast between the original and intended new background also determines the amount of time we need to spend on the masking.
Another way to isolate objects is by making a clipping path. For some specific selections the pen tool is the only way to make a good selection and the resulting selection can be stored in paths. Such paths can be used for various processing techniques, like a conversion to a vector mask.
