Primary research for EE in Economics

Learning Objectives:

Determine whether the collected data confirms or refute the economic theories and concepts used to build the EE argument
Determine the need of further survey or appropriate secondary research to support their EE argument
Analyse the limitations of the survey, the need for further survey, unanswered questions and best approach to handle those
Submit their analysis to me for feedback
Integrate my feedback and integrate the analysis in their EE body

What is evaluation

You have collected and process your data. Now you need to determine whether your data is sufficient to apply the economic concepts and theories used to build your EE argument.

Your task is to write analysis of the data, applying suitable economic concepts and theories in your analysis that confirm or refute your EE research. You also need to write a clear evaluation of the methodology used to collect the primary data: what method of sampling was used and why, what are the advantages and the limitations of the chosen sampling method; what unanswered questions came up during the research process.

The written analysis and evaluation of your data should be constructed in two sections:

Main results and findings: Primary research (not more than 500-700 words, tables, diagrams are not included in the word count)
Analysis and Evaluation (not more than 1000 words)
What secondary resources do you need to support your results and findings?
